What is Word Wipe?

Word Wipe is a popular word game developed by Arkadium, where players search a 10x10 grid of random letters to connect adjacent tiles and form words of at least three letters.

When a word is submitted:

• All the letters get cleared from the grid.
• Empty tiles above fall into place.

Your objective here is to keep on creating words, removing letters, and eventually clearing rows from the grid. You must be quick, as each round just lasts about 2 minutes, while later levels require players to clear more and more lines. Just a bit of a slower pace can cause failure!

Search and connect letters to create words. Move your mouse to connect letters horizontally, vertically, diagonally, or in mixed directions, as long as they form valid English words with at least 3 letters. The words in green are accepted.

Clear rows. This is your core mission! Aim to remove enough letters to clear row(s) in 120 seconds and meet the level goal. Otherwise, you fail it.

Use bombs. They act as in-game power-ups. Earn bonus bombs and drag them into the grid to clear a 3×3 section of tiles, helping you clear the rows more easily.

Easy tips and tricks for beginners

Start with short words to clear rows quickly. If you feel stuck, try words like "pet," "tea," "cat," "wow," "hat," "has," etc. Those 3-letter words will help you progress faster, especially when you have no idea.

Aim for longer words for higher scores. They are sure to get you big score earnings in Word Wipe, but they often take more time and effort to search.

Use diagonal connections. Don’t just focus on vertical and horizontal combinations; for more possibilities, you can target all the adjacent letters as long as they form valid words.

Save bombs for late levels. Don’t waste them at early levels if your goal is to conquer as many levels as possible.
